My thoughts or observations of the week, new buzz words! Who doesn't love that catch phrase "buzz words", whilst i find that phrase quite anoying these days "buzz words" are important for coaching and our coaches in particular. If we want a player to do several actions like get to a certain spot on the floor at a certain time and execute a particular skill, it would take a long time to tell them. We dont have a long time so "buzz words" come into play. For example, if i explain to a player i want them to get to the slot/seem and pass to the wing to initiate offense i don't want to yell all that out... "hey johnny, dribble to outside the three point line above the corner of the key", instead i can just say "Get to the seem", much quicker and easier and it incapsulates all of the previous explanation.
